Massage for Back Pain

At Keheren Therapy, we believe in bringing you the very best and most effective treatments. Massage for back pain is our speciality. This treatment is beneficial for those experiencing muscular pain or discomfort from their back, neck or shoulders.

The effective treatment of muscular pain relies upon several key factors. These include extensive knowledge of applied anatomy, personal therapeutic training and the skilful treatment of these problems. If appropriate, another technique is the application of warmth and massage, combined to produce a positive outcome.

Are Deep Tissue Massage and Sports Massage Painful?

It’s sometimes necessary to go through a little discomfort to sort out deep-seated injuries, chronic pain and muscle tension. This is because the body occasionally resists the pressure that is being applied. Rather than being caused by the intensity of the massage, the discomfort is clinical evidence that we are getting to the problem’s source.

Keheren’s therapists are very highly-trained in using the minimum force required to apply pressure that addresses the causes of the back pain. Any discomfort that you might feel is very short – lived – and well worth going through for the lasting pain relief you will enjoy.

Various sports massage techniques and Swedish massage can be applied to your treatment on the Hydrotherm system.

Our therapists are all qualified sports massage therapists and have training in deep tissue and/or advanced techniques.

We also have a Sports Therapist who can treat, diagnose and rehabilitate a wide variety of musculoskeletal problems.

If you have any questions or want to talk to one of our experienced therapists to find out how we can help you, please contact us.

Hydrotherm

You will begin to relax from the moment you lie down….  Our warm water filled Hydrotherm cushions allow an uninterrupted full body massage, no face holes, no turning over.

Hydrotherm massage provides the perfect opportunity to rest and allow your mind to drift away.  We use the same techniques as traditional massage therapists (such as Swedish massage) whilst your body is supported by our warm water bed.  Yet because our therapists work using an upwards pressure between you and the waterbed you won’t need to turn over half way through!
